Perichán has in Spain the ‘focus’
market because is the 85
percent of its operations, although
the company has begun
the internacional development
to other destinations
as Russia, Dubai or the Eastern
Europe markets. A policy
with a portfolio of products
composed of ‘commodity’
products such as tomatoes,
cucumbers and green beans,
but also ‘premium’ products
such as Kumato tomato or flat
peach.
The development of international
markets is not new,
because the company located
in Mazarrón exports for along
time to Germany and United
Kingdom.
Perichán has in the Spanish
chain -Mercadona- its reference
customer, with which it
develops special lines, as cu-
cumber. A line R&D that also
focuses on Kumato - standard
tomato and baby plum- and
in Raf tomato, where it has
become the largest producer
of this ‘premium’ product in
Murcia.
Portfolio. Perichán has in
vegetables their important
products where has 767 hectares
between green beans,
tomatoes and cucumbers, but
also includes fruit trees on the
coast of Murcia, where it develops
products at the end of
spring in grape and stone fruit
-peach and flat peach-.
The company has own farms
in Murcia and Agadir, from
where works the major part of
the green been for the Spanish
market. Tomato, cucumber
and green bean are produced
for 12 months.
