« Centre de Recherche en Ecologie Expérimentale et Prédictive (CEREEP) – ECOTRON IleDeFrance »
has been founded and chaired (2008-2010) by EEM member.
§ EEM research featured in the press, interviews, and participation in radio and TV broadcasts.
Presentation at broad-audience public conferences : « Fête de la Science », « 2009 Darwin Year »
conferences, ENS public conference cycle on biodiversity (2011).
§ EEM members are on UPMC and ENS hiring committees.

representing UPMC partner and ENS partner (jointly with three other partners : UPSud,
AgroParisTech, MNHN).
§ Coordination and teaching of ecology, evolutionary biology, and modelling curriculum at ENS.
§ Direction of Studies at CERES (Centre d’Enseignement et de Recherche sur l’Environnement et la
Société, ENS).
§ Organization of annual schools: Ecole d’Eté de Biologie de Luminy (yearly since 2001) ; Ecole
Interdisciplinaire d’Echanges et de Formation en Biologie (Berder, 2009-2011) ; Ecole
internationale « Chaos and Dynamics in Biological Networks » à l’institut d’études scientifiques de
Cargèse (2008-2010-2012), Winter School on Advanced Ecological Statistics (since 2009), Winter

§ EEM members advised or co-advised 10 PhD students who graduated in 2007-2012, 9 masters
students (M2), 6 masters students (M1), 3 senior undergarduate students. There are currently 5
PhD students in EEM. EEM was represented in the jury of 53 PhD defenses, as referee for 7 theses
and chair of the defense committee for 19 theses. EEM was represented in the jury of 7
« Habilitations à Diriger des Recherches » (HDR), as referee for 4 HDR and as chair of the defense
committee for 3 HDR. EEM members participated in 12 PhD students’ guidance committees.
