A Numana è possibile visitare una<br />
necropoli picena. All’interno <strong>del</strong>l’Antiquarium,<br />
il locale museo archeologico,<br />
sono conservati importanti<br />
resti tra cui va ricordata la tomba<br />
<strong>del</strong>la Regina Picena, una nobile<br />
signora sepolta con il suo sontuoso<br />
corredo che comprende addirittura<br />
una biga e un calesse.<br />

INTERESTING FACTS<br />
At Numana you can visit a Picentine<br />
necropolis. The local archeological<br />
museum, known as the Antiquarium,<br />
houses important remains among<br />
which the tomb of Queen Picena,<br />
a noble lady buried in her sumptuous<br />
funerary accoutrements, which also<br />
include a chariot and a buggy.<br />

Del passato medievale di Numana<br />
resta solo la torre oggi simbolo <strong>del</strong>la<br />
città, situata nella parte alta in un<br />
punto panoramicissimo. Ha forma<br />
di un arco ma in realtà è quello che<br />
resta <strong>del</strong> campanile di un’antica<br />
chiesa.<br />
AN OUTPOST IN CONERO<br />
All that remains of the medieval past of<br />
Numana is the tower, which has become<br />
the city’s symbol, located in the higher<br />
part of the city in a very panoramic spot.<br />
It is shaped like an arch, but it actually<br />
is all that remains of the bell tower of an<br />
old church.<br />
