del Teatro alle Cave.
All’interno di uno bosco, in una
cava naturale dismessa è stato
ricavato uno spazio di 3.500 posti
che in più di 29 anni ha ospitato
artisti di grande levatura, come
Dario Fo e Franca Rame, Roberto
Benigni e Beppe Grillo.

natural quarry, it was converted into
a theatre seating 3,500.

and beaches, in Sirolo you can
glimpse unique fauna. For several
years there have been sightings of
dolphins splashing through the waves
off the coast of Sirolo. For scuba
enthusiasts these crystalline waters
really are a paradise full of adventures.

The Cortesi Theatre:
a little gem
Durante una visita a Sirolo non può mancare
una pausa ristoratrice per assaporare qualche
tipicità. Un’ampia offerta culinaria accontenta
anche i palati più esigenti: dai gustosi spaghetti
con i moscioli ai ciavattoni con il pesce
fino al delicato sapore del branzino.
La forte vocazione per il teatro
dei sirolesi è testimoniata dalla
presenza del Teatro Cortesi,
piccolo gioiello di architettura e
acustica, fortemente voluto dai
cittadini nel lontano 1873. Hanno
calcato le scene di questo teatro
famose compagnie come quella
di Edoardo De Filippo e Valeria
Moriconi. Oggi il teatro è sede
del Centro di Studi Drammaturgici
e ospita la prestigiosa rassegna
dedicata a Franco Enriquez.
The inhabitants of Sirolo have a
natural bent for the theatre and the
Cortesi Theatre attests to this. A
small architectural and acoustic gem,
it was built by the will of the citizens in
1873. Famous theatrical companies,
such as the one of Edoardo De Filippi
and Valeria Moriconi, trod the boards
of this theatre. Today the theatre is
the headquarters of the Centre for
Dramatic Studies and hosts the
prestigious exhibition dedicated
to Franco Enriquez.
