Standardization of Protocols for Pratical Classes of<br />

the main of Human Histology; Higher Institute of Education at the Agostinho<br />

Neto University - Lubango / Angola 2006.<br />

The overall goal of this research was to develop, at low cost, standardized<br />

protocols of laboratory practices to further the practical lessons of Human<br />

Histology, taught at the Higher Institute of Nursing at the Agostinho Neto<br />

University and other units with similar courses. This has been an exploratory work,<br />

or discovery of contrast, which also became a critical interpretation of the form of<br />

administration of the practical lessons of Histology, therefore, also worked on the<br />

framework of classical methodology. We have worked within the framework of the<br />

paradigms of quantitative, qualitative and critical. The population token account<br />

covers the majors in the medical sciences, such as Human Medicine, Veterinary<br />

Medicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Dentistry, Laboratory, and even Biology and<br />

other related courses that have a <strong>com</strong>mon program of Human General Histology.<br />

The sample only was the Laboratory of Human Histology of the School of Nursing,<br />

of University Agostinho Neto, although there is a need for standardization of<br />

laboratory practices of Histology for related courses. The diagnosis made was the<br />

recognition, by the majority, that is needed this kind of protocols and lack of<br />

recognition and / or unwillingness of some teachers in their preparation. It has<br />

been proposed a teaching model, with central axis in the standard of a scientific<br />

research project and to the drafting of protocols, such as practical contribution of<br />

research. It has been also developed a pedagogical model based on standardized<br />

protocols of laboratory practices for the discipline of Human General Histology. To<br />

apply the results of this work would start using the Model Protocol for teaching<br />

practical lessons of Human General Histology now conceived. It has been<br />

re<strong>com</strong>mended the proposed pedagogical model to the authorities dealing with<br />

higher education in Angola.<br />
