ABSTRACT<br />
Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) is an international<br />
legal instrument by which the Contracting<br />
States are to fulfill the obligations for the harmonization<br />
of formalities for registration of patent applications,<br />
when applying for patent protection of<br />
the invention, simultaneously, in a large number of<br />
countries. Republic of Moldova is party to the Treaty<br />
since February 1994, benefiting from all advantages<br />
offered by the PCT system, first of all, from a fairly<br />
simple mode of filing by applicants of patent applications<br />
in multiple countries.<br />
