Abstract
Theoretical framework: Teachers often have problems with
motivating their students. I want my lessons to be more interesting
and students to be more active so I took part in the seminar
Collaborative working in blog. People use blogs mostly as
weblogs for describing their adventures and expressing their
opinions. Our students also use blogs to describe their student
exchanges abroad but they can also be used for other school
work.
Methods: Qualitative research was used. Case study was used
as an example of good practice to introduce using a blog for
teaching new subject matters.
Results: Students can be very active in school and using a blog
can be a good diversification but it cannot be a standard of
their success.
Discussion: Using a blog has its advantages and disadvantages.
Students are very good at using ICT so they have no problems
working with blogs. A blog can be motivation, diversification
or upgrade in school. Disadvantages are: technical problems,
which can affect teaching, and time limitation with vulnerable
groups of students.
Keywords: motivation, blog, mobility, active work
