ค่ายสารวจรังวัดมรดกสถาปัตยกรรมพระราชนิเวศน์-
มฤคทายวันที่จัดในปีนี้นับเป็นครั้งที่ 3 ของพระราชนิเวศน์ฯ
ที่เปิดโอกาสให้ชาวค่าย VERNADOC ได้เข้าทาการศึกษา
นับตั้งแต่ RSU VERNADOC 2013 และ ASCC VER-
NADOC 2014 ที่จัดโดย มหาวิทยาลัยรังสิต ตามลาพัง
และจัดร่วมกับมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ในปีถัดมา
สาหรับปีนี้ถือเป็นปีแรกที่สมาคมสถาปนิกสยามฯ ได้ร่วม
จัดกับมหาวิทยาลัยรังสิต อย่างเต็มรูปแบบในนาม ASA+RSU
VERNADOC 2016 โดยมี ผศ. สุดจิต (เศวตจินดา) สนั่นไหว
เป็นผู้จัดการโครงการ และมีอาสาสมัครจานวน 82 คน
เข้าร่วมโครงการ โดยส่วนหนึ่งเป็นนักศึกษาหรือสถาปนิก
ที่มีประสบการณ์จากพื ้นที่อื่นๆ มาแล้วเข้าร่วมในฐานะ
VERNADOC Veteran ได้แก่ สถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอม
เกล้าเจ้าคุณทหารลาดกระบัง มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น
มหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม มหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวร มหาวิทยาลัย
เทคโนโลยีราชมงคลสุวรรณภูมิและธัญบุรี ซึ่งผู้เคยผ่าน
ค่ายชุดนี้ถือเป็นกาลังสาคัญในการถ่ายทอดเทคนิคการ
ทางานให้แก่อาสาสมัครหน้าใหม่ได้เป็นอย่างดี โดยในปีนี้
นอกจากนักศึกษาในรายวิชาของทางรังสิตเองแล้ว ยังมี
อาสาสมัครที่สนใจเข้าร่วมผ่านเว็บไซต์ www.vernadoc.com
ที่ได้ทดลองเปิดระบบให้สมัครออนไลน์เป็นครั้งแรกอีกด้วย
และนอกจากอาสาหน้าใหม่ชาวไทยแล้ว เป็นที่น่าสนใจว่า
ยังมีอาจารย์และสถาปนิกอาสาจากประเทศออสเตรเลีย
และอินโดนีเซียสมัครเข้าร่วมเรียนรู้วิธีการทางานและ
การจัดการค่าย VERNADOC จานวนอีก 10 คนด้วย
อาสาสมัครต่างชาติชุดนี้ ซึ่งนาทีมโดย Dr.Julie Nichols จาก
University of South Australia (UniSA) และ Dr.Kemas
Ridwan Kurniawan จาก Universitas Indonesia (UI)
ได้มีจุดมุ่งหมายร่วมกันที่จะเรียนรู้เทคนิคการทางาน เพื่อ
นาไปทดลองจัดค่าย Aceh VERNADOC 2017 ที่เมือง
อาเจะห์ ประเทศอินโดนีเซียบ้าง ในความร่วมมือของสอง
สถาบัน โดยมีประเทศไทยร่วมเป็นพี่เลี้ยง
ซึ่งผลจากการจัดค่ายในครั้งนี้ นอกจากการเรียนรู้
เทคนิคของ VERNADOC แล้ว ทั้งอาสาสมัครชาวไทย
และชาวต่างชาติเหล่านี้ยังมีโอกาสได้รู้จักขนบธรรมเนียม
ไทยตามแบบแผนของราชสานักรัชกาลที่ 6 ที่ทางพระราช-
นิเวศน์ฯ ได้รื้อฟื้นเพื่อให้ผู้มาเยี่ยมเยือนได้เรียนรู้และสัมผัส
ถึงวิถีชีวิตที่ร่วมยุคกับตัวพระราชนิเวศน์เมื่อเกือบ 90 ปี
แล้ว ฉะนั้นจึงไม่น่าแปลกใจหากในช่วงนั้นนักท่องเที่ยว
ที่มาเที่ยวชม จะเห็นชาวค่ายทั้งไทยแขกฝรั่งนุ่งโจงกระเบน
สีสันสดใส พร้อมใส่เสื้อกั๊กสีน้าเงินของ ASA VERNADOC
นั่งพับเพียบทางานตามอาคารทั้งเจ็ดหลังที่ได้รับมอบ-
หมาย ทั้งนี้เสียงสะท้อนจากทุกคนที่เพิ่งเคยมาเข้าค่าย
แห่งนี้ต่างบอกเป็นเสียงเดียวกันว่า ได้เรียนรู้อะไรเยอะ
มากๆ โดยเฉพาะเรื่องกิริยามารยาทที่พึงแสดงออกยาม
ที่อยู่ในเขตพระราชฐาน ซึ่งหาโอกาสได้ยากที่จะได้เรียนรู้
The architectural survey and documentation of the
heritage site at Mrigadayavan Palace was held for the
third year while the palace was opened for VERNADOC
volunteers to study its architectural elements after RSU
VERNADOC 2013 was successfully hosted by Rangsit
University and ASCC VERNADOC 2014 that had Kasetsart
University as an additional collaborator.
This year marked the first year for the Association
of Siamese Architects to be fully behind the organization
of the event with Rangsit University. Going by the name
ASA+RSU VERNADOC 2016 with Assistant Professor
Sudjit S.Sananwai as the director, the project welcomed
82 volunteers including a number of students and
experienced architects from the previous VERNADOC
including those from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology
Ladkrabang, Khon Kaen University, Mahasarakham
University, Naresuan University, Rajamangala
University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, Rajamangala
University of Technology Thanyaburi. These VERNADOC
veterans are a significant force who transmitted the
techniques and methods to the new volunteers. This
year, in addition to the students from Rangsit University’s
coursework, there were also interested volunteers who
applied to join the project through www.vernadoc.com,
which was open for online application for the first time
this year. 2016 also saw ten professors and architects
from Australia and Indonesia who volunteered due to
their interest in the methods and working process of
VERNADOC. This group of foreign volunteers led by
Dr.Julie Nichols from University of South Australia
(UniSA) and Dr.Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan from Universitas
Indonesia (UI) share the same objective and that is to
learn the techniques and processes, which will be used
for the organization of Aceh VERNADOC 2017 in Aceh,
Indonesia with the two institutions serving as collaborators
and Thailand as the supervisor.
What VERNADOC 2016 is able to offer is not only
the volunteers’ opportunity to learn techniques but also
a chance for international participants to personally
experience the ancient traditions practiced under King
Rama VI’s reign in which the palace is reintroduced to
visitors as a form of education. The volunteers get to
know about the way of life back in the early days of the
Palace that dates back 90 years ago. This special activity
explains the sight of Thai, Australian and Indonesian
volunteers wearing colorful traditional wraparound
trousers (jong kra-ben) with ASA VERNADOC’s navy
blue vests sitting at different corners of the Palace’s 7
buildings working on their documentation. The feedback
from the newcomers was unanimous as everyone
reported that they learned many things including the
traditional court manners and etiquette that even Thai
people haven’t had a chance to know previously. Another
part of the lesson was the Palace’s preservation of nature
and the environment, which resulted in the luscious and
majestic beauty of the landscape and explained Mrigadayavan’s
status as the place of retreat where King Rama VI
chose to spend time during the recovery of his health.
