แม้จะเป็นคนไทยแท้ๆ ก็ตาม พร้อมกันนั้นทุกคนยังได้
ตระหนักในการรักษาธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมซึ่งเป็น
องค์ประกอบสาคัญที่ส่งเสริมให้พระราชนิเวศน์แห่งนี้มี
ความสง่างามและสุขสบายสมกับเป็นพระราชนิเวศน์
เพื่อการแปรพระราชฐานรักษาพระวรกายของล้นเกล้า
รัชกาลที่ 6
และนับเป็นโชคดีของสมาชิกค่ายนี้ยิ ่งนักที่มีโอกาส
ได้ร่วมกิจกรรมที่สาคัญถึงสองงานคืองานสักการะต้นไม้
ประจาปีที่จัดโดยเหล่าข้าราชบริพารฝ่ายใน และงานคอนเสิร์ต
กลางแจ้งจากคณะนักดนตรีคลาสสิคชาวเกาหลี ซึ่งเดินสาย
แสดงมาแล้วทั่วโลกและมาจัดที่นี ่พอดีในวันที ่มีค่าย ซึ่ง
ทั้งสองงานนี้ ได้สร้างสีสันและความประทับใจให้กับผู้ร่วม
ค่ายทุกคนได้อย่างที่ไม่เคยมีมาก่อนในค่าย VERNADOC
ครั้งใด
อนึ่งการที่ชาวค่ายได้รับสิทธิพิเศษให้ตั้งสตูดิโอเขียน-
แบบตลอดสัปดาห์ที่สองใต้พระที่นั่งสมุทรพิมาน ซึ่งเป็น
ห้องพระบรรทมของพระเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 6 พร้อมกับ
การจัดแสดงผลงานเก่าที่เคยสารวจที ่พระราชนิเวศน์นี้
เพื่อเป็นตัวอย่าง นับว่าสามารถสร้างความสนใจให้กับ
นักท่องเที่ยวได้เป็นอย่างดี และยังได้สร้างชีวิตชีวาให้กลับ-
คืนมายังพระราชนิเวศน์แห่งนี้ในบทบาทใหม่ นั่นคือ
สถานที่เรียนรู้เพื่อสืบค้นร่องรอยย้อนกลับไปหาอดีต
ทั้งนี้แบบทั้งหมดของ VERNADOC ที่เคยได้สารวจมา
และอาจเกิดมีขึ้นในปีต่อๆ ไป ของพระราชนิเวศน์แห่งนี้
This year’s volunteers were very lucky to be able to
witness the tree worshipping ceremony organized by
the Palace’s staff. They also got to enjoy a little music
in the park by a renowned Korean classical band that
had been touring around the world. These special events
made the experience even more impressive for
everyone.
The VERNADOC team was granted special permission
to set up a temporary studio throughout the second
week of the event under Samut Phiman Throne Hall, which
was once used as King Rama VI’s bedroom. The works
done during the previous VERNADOC on the same site
were put together into an exhibition that attracted considerable
interest from the tourists. A project such as
VERNADOC highlights another significant role of
Mrigadayavan Palace as new learning grounds where
history is revisited. The drawings of the Palace the
volunteers of VERNADOC have created since previous
years and the ones that are going to be made in the
future will be systematically collected and preserved as
a valuable database that can be accessed and studied
by the public or used for the future renovation of the
Palace. It is a rather surprising fact that the photographs
of the original structure of the Palace that had been
taken capture only 2-3 angles of its architecture while
the original blueprint is nowhere to be found despite
having a team of foreign workmen supervising the
construction with a systematic working standard at
the time. The survey carried out in contemporary times
creates valid documentation of the country’s architectural
heritage that will surely be useful in the future.
