The geomatics research group at the Institute
of Applied Research (IAF) compiles databases
on changes in point coordinates and height as
geodetic infrastructures for GNSS positioning
services.
Generally available GNSS positions in traditional
point positioning and height reference
systems can be transferred (www.dfhbf.de;
www.moldpos.eu). Furthermore, transformation
messages can be redirected and transmitted
according to RTCM standards via satellite,
UMTS or the Internet.
Researchers developing GNSS-supported low-
cost multi-sensor systems for mobile platform
navigation and object referencing (www.
navka.de) are developing algorithms and
systems for accurate navigation (positioning,
orientation) e.g. drones, smartphones, etc.
These enable GNSS-supported and standalone
devices to log geodetic data as well as
to navigate indoors and outdoors.
