Flight Design GmbH is an innovative pro ducer
of three-axis controlled ultralight aircraft.
Flight Design has been developing and manufacturing
light sport aircraft since the early
80s. Today the company is internationally renowned
for its CT range of aircraft.
Flight Design develops its products in close
cooperation with pilots and distribution partners.
The company’s success is based on
technical innovation and because of its extra
focus on aircraft safety. Today’s products
are built from carbon-fibre composites. The
planes are particularly fast compared to other
makes due to Flight Design’s controllable
pitch propellers.
Flight Design developed the CT range in the
early 90s. The CT 180 was the first product
on the market in 1997. More than 1,400 CTs
have been sold since then. Flight Design uses
engines from the Rotax 912 series. The MC
(metal concept) and CTLS HL, with enlarged
surface areas and stronger engines (Rotax
914), were added in 2010.
