The University of Stuttgart’s Faculty of Aerospace<br />
Engineering and Geodesy offers aerospace<br />
and geodesy education as well as<br />
research and development.<br />
Engineers are also trained in solving the constantly<br />
increasing number of tasks in interdisciplinary<br />
high-tech aerospace technology and<br />
its related areas.<br />
Particular focus in education and research is<br />
placed on aerodynamics, thermodynamics,<br />
aircraft construction, aircraft engines, space<br />
systems, flight mechanics and flight control,<br />
aviation systems, statics and dynamics, aerospace<br />
combustion, wind energy, geodesy,<br />
navigation, photogrammetry and planetology.<br />
The Faculty offers three study programmes:<br />
• Aerospace Technology (B.Sc./M.Sc.)<br />
• Geodesy and Geoinformatics (B.Sc./M.Sc.)<br />
• Geomatic Engineering (M.Sc.)<br />
There are approximately 1,500 students of<br />
Aerospace Technology and approximately 200<br />
students of Geodesy and Geoinformatics.<br />
