The Virtual Dimension Center (VDC) was<br />
established in 2002 as a non-profit organisation<br />
for cluster management and technology<br />
transfer in virtual engineering. The 70 members<br />
include users, system providers as well<br />
as research and educational institutes.<br />
VDC’s mission is to open up sustainable communication<br />
platforms, to initiate (R&D) cooperation<br />
and business contacts, to support<br />
small and medium enterprises (SME) in making<br />
use of technologies, to integrate them in<br />
f<strong>und</strong>ed projects, to organise training according<br />
to their needs and to ensure technological<br />
leader ship internationally for its members.<br />
The VDC has its own “Demo Center” where<br />
the latest virtual engineering technology can<br />
be tested and demonstrated.<br />
The Virtual Dimension Center has five business<br />
areas, focusing on the following services:<br />
1. information procurement<br />
2. public image<br />
3. organising contacts<br />
4. technology transfer<br />
5. planning and organising f<strong>und</strong>ing
