IAG has over 60 years of research and education<br />
experience in fluid dynamics, focusing on<br />
applications for aerospace and wind energy.<br />
Of its 65 employees, 45 are scientists. IAG<br />
has numerous wind tunnels and water channels,<br />
and a direct access to high-performance<br />
computers.<br />
Its main activities include:<br />
• simulation and analysis of the flow passing<br />
over aircraft, rotorcraft and wind turbines<br />
including fluid-structure-coupling<br />
• design and testing of aerodynamically and<br />
aero-acoustically optimised airfoils<br />
• design of low-noise propellers<br />
• development of numerical simulation methods<br />
in aerodynamics and aero-acoustics<br />
• f<strong>und</strong>amental research concerning bo<strong>und</strong>ary-<br />
layer flow (transition, turbulence, separation),<br />
flow control, shock bo<strong>und</strong>ary-layer<br />
interaction, flow visualisation, and heat flux<br />
sensors.
