The Technology Transfer Centre (Technologie-<br />
Transfer-Zentrum TTZ) was set up as a working<br />
group in 2000 by the German Aerospace<br />
Agency (DLR), the Heilbronn business promotion<br />
association, the Chamber of Industry and<br />
Commerce Heilbronn-Franconia, the Chamber<br />
of Trade Heilbronn-Franconia and the municipality<br />
of Hardthausen.<br />
TTZ promotes efficient knowledge transfer<br />
and sharing of technological expertise in aerospace<br />
and industrial production.<br />
The DLR group focuses on rocket testing<br />
sites as well as developing measurement and<br />
control systems for low and high frequency<br />
measurements at test benches. TTZ has<br />
unique know-how in the areas of sensors, airflow<br />
mechanics, laser measurement, hydrogen<br />
technology as well as cryogenics for<br />
liquid hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen.<br />
brandschutz.org, based at the TTZ site, are<br />
fire protection experts, conducting research<br />
into the causes of fire. The TTZ also hosts an<br />
annual technology transfer forum.
