whereas the mother’s milk usually does not flow fluently in first days <strong>of</strong><br />

childbirth. It make the baby always cry. Gamelan music seems not<br />

decrease their discomfort because the source <strong>of</strong> that feeling is in their<br />

internal condition (hungry).<br />

Weight<br />

Another indicator <strong>of</strong> a newborn's emotions is good and fast physical<br />

growth. If a newborn's emotions are good he or she would drink more.<br />

This physical growth is shown by an increase <strong>of</strong> weight (Mazie, 1992).<br />

The graph (Figure 59) below shows that newborns with gamelan music<br />

tend to maintain, moreover, increase their weight more than newborns<br />

with no music.<br />
