Create a single governance structure over the development and content of forms<br />

for court users statewide.<br />

Standardize forms data to reduce duplicate efforts in providing court forms to the<br />

public and prepare for statewide e-filing.<br />

Automate the entire workflow associated with case initiation and subsequent<br />

filings for select case and form types in the Superior Court, Justice Courts,<br />

Municipal Courts, and Appellate Courts.<br />

Deliver self-service forms to the public via AZTurboCourt, based on court rule or<br />

statute.<br />

Sustain the support, training, and marketing efforts for the statewide<br />

AZTurboCourt electronic filing initiative. Involve representatives from all court<br />

levels in the development of the forms logic and format.<br />

AZTURBOCOURT PORTAL<br />

Provide the main access point through which all Internet-accessible services are<br />

provided (e.g., e-Filing, FARE, document access, child support calculator, etc).<br />

Evolve portal over time as new online services are developed.<br />

MARKETING AND TRAINING<br />

Spread the word statewide and nationally about AZTurboCourt and electronic<br />

filing.<br />

Creatively direct communications to individual courts (notices, training), attorneys<br />

and legal aids, as well as self-represented litigants.<br />

PROJECT GOALS ACCOMPLISHED IN FISCAL YEAR 2012<br />

INTELLIGENT FORMS<br />

Small claims, justice court civil, and residential eviction forms continue to be used<br />

in Maricopa, Pima, Pinal, Cochise, and Coconino counties. Gila and Mohave<br />

counties were added in FY12. Work continues to spread usage through the rest<br />

of the state with the next three counties (La Paz, Yuma, and Santa Cruz)<br />

scheduled to begin using the forms early in FY13.<br />

The full e-filing version of the small claims application is piloting in four of the<br />

Maricopa County Justice Courts. Additional MCJC court locations are awaiting<br />

entry into the pilot.<br />

The first phase of the dissolution intelligent forms application, which includes the<br />

petition and response along with the model parenting guide, was tested and<br />

prepared for production deployment in a pay-and-print mode. The second phase<br />

is scheduled to include the proposed decree.<br />

Mandated GJ-civil case subsequent e-filing continued in the Superior Court in<br />

Maricopa County and mandatory e-filing was put in place for attorneys filing into<br />

the <strong>Arizona</strong> Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, Division One, in April 2012 for<br />

all case types.<br />
