Vietnam Primate Conservation Status Review Part 2: LEAF MONKEYS 22 The genetic distances between the other three taxa are within the range typical for those between species, which has led to the conclusion to separate all three taxa as distinct species (Roos & Nadler, 2001). Phylogenetic tree reconstructions carried out on the data set resolve the relationship among the three taxa with high support. P. nigripes branched off first, followed by cinerea and nemaeus.
