Cashier during normal business<br />
hours.<br />
A service charge is assessed for<br />
each check which is returned unpaid<br />
by the drawee bank on initial<br />
presentation because <strong>of</strong> insufficient<br />
funds, stopped payment, postdating,<br />
draw against uncollected<br />
items, etc. The charge is $5.00 for<br />
checks up to $50.00, $10.00 for<br />
checks over $50.00 and under<br />
$100.00, and $20.00 for checks<br />
over $100.00.<br />
The fees and charges are used as<br />
follows:<br />
Supporting facilities fee is used to pay<br />
for various facilities on campus that<br />
are not funded or are funded only<br />
in part from other sources.<br />
Student activities fee is used to meet<br />
the costs <strong>of</strong> various student activities,<br />
student publications and<br />
cultural programs.<br />
Student health fee is charged to help<br />
defray the cost <strong>of</strong> providing Student<br />
and Employee Health services<br />
for students which include routine<br />
examinations and emergency care.<br />
Application fee partially defrays the<br />
cost <strong>of</strong> processing applications for<br />
admission and enrollment data in<br />
the pr<strong>of</strong>essional schools. This fee is<br />
not refundable.<br />
Diploma fee is charged to help defray<br />
costs involved with graduation<br />
and commencement.<br />

Late registration fee defrays the special<br />
cost involved for those who do<br />
not complete their registration on<br />
the prescribed days.<br />
Health insurance is required <strong>of</strong> all<br />
full-time day division students<br />
(nine or more semester hours).<br />
Students with insurance equivalent<br />
in coverage to the plan <strong>of</strong>fered<br />
through the university must provide<br />
pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> such coverage at the<br />
time <strong>of</strong> registration and obtain a<br />
health insurance waiver from Student<br />
and Employee Health. Information<br />
concerning the student<br />
health insurance program may be<br />
obtained from Student and Employee<br />
Health. Rates are subject to<br />
change.<br />
Students participating in the<br />
in-house law clinics are required to<br />
carry malpractice insurance, which<br />
currently is paid for by the <strong>School</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Law</strong>.<br />
Effect <strong>of</strong> Failure to Pay. A student<br />
who does not pay, or make and follow<br />
the conditions <strong>of</strong> a satisfactory<br />

arrangement to pay, a bill for tuition<br />
and fees shall not be entitled<br />
to attend classes, take examinations<br />
or do other work for credit,<br />
and no grade or credit will be<br />
given for any work done during the<br />
semester to which there is a default.<br />
Any registration or advance<br />
registration for a subsequent semester<br />
will be cancelled. The student<br />
will not be permitted to return<br />
to the school until the<br />
student (i) pays, or makes and follows<br />
the conditions <strong>of</strong> a satisfactory<br />
arrangement to pay, the student's<br />
unpaid tuition and fees; and<br />
(ii) thereafter is readmitted to the<br />
school by the dean. However, if<br />
the student then is subject to exclusion<br />
from the school for any<br />
reason other than unpaid tuition<br />
or fees, the student can be readmitted<br />
only by the Administrative<br />
