1974, Yale <strong>University</strong>. Mr. Luban<br />
joined the faculty on a regular<br />
basis in 1986, after several years at<br />
the Institute for Philosophy and<br />
Public Policy at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Maryland</strong>, College Park, during<br />
which he frequently taught the<br />
Legal Pr<strong>of</strong>ession course at the law<br />
school. He retains his affiliation as<br />
a research scholar with the Institute.<br />
Before coming to the <strong>University</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Maryland</strong> in 1979 he<br />
taught philosophy at Yale and at<br />
Kent State <strong>University</strong>, and he has<br />
visited at the Dartmouth College<br />
philosophy department and at the<br />
Max Planck Institute in West Germany.<br />
Mr. Luban is the editor <strong>of</strong><br />
The Good <strong>Law</strong>yer (1983) and the<br />
author <strong>of</strong> <strong>Law</strong>yers and Justice'An<br />
Ethical Study (<strong>1988</strong>), and has published<br />
numerous articles on legal<br />
ethics and on political and legal<br />
philosophy. He edits the National<br />
Reporter on Legal Ethics and Pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
Responsibility and is <strong>1988</strong><br />
chair <strong>of</strong> the Association <strong>of</strong> American<br />
<strong>Law</strong> <strong>School</strong>s Section on Pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
Responsibility.<br />

Hospital prior to joining the<br />
administrative staff <strong>of</strong> the law<br />
school in 1984- She is responsible<br />
for fiscal planning and management,<br />
physical plant, security and<br />

Medine was an associate with a<br />
large law firm in Washington,<br />
D.C. He then served as a clinical<br />
instructor at The National <strong>Law</strong><br />
Center, George Washington <strong>University</strong>,<br />
and from 1986 to <strong>1988</strong> Mr.<br />
Medine was an associate pr<strong>of</strong>essor<br />
at Indiana <strong>University</strong> <strong>Law</strong> <strong>School</strong>,<br />
Bloomington, where he was director<br />
<strong>of</strong> its in-house legal clinic.<br />
