year as clerk to the Honorable<br />
Richard D. Cudahy <strong>of</strong> the United<br />
States Court <strong>of</strong> Appeals for the<br />
Seventh Circuit and then for two<br />
years as a litigation associate at the<br />
law firm <strong>of</strong> Wilmer, Cutler &. Pickering.<br />
Ms. Singer has written on<br />
family law and children's issues and<br />
is currently a member <strong>of</strong> the Board<br />

He then practiced law for six years<br />
in Illinois before joining the faculty<br />
in 1963. He has written in the<br />
fields <strong>of</strong> commercial law and antitrust.<br />

Mr. Smith was an attorney with<br />
the United States Department <strong>of</strong><br />
Justice from 1964 to 1966 and was<br />

1972, he was director <strong>of</strong> the<br />
branch <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> Piper & Marbury,<br />
Baltimore. He joined the faculty in<br />
1972. He has been active in litigation<br />
dealing with law reform in the<br />
areas <strong>of</strong> criminal law, juvenile law,<br />
constitutional law and employment<br />

served as special projects counsel<br />
and confidential legal advisor to<br />
the general counsel at the U.S.<br />
Securities and Exchange Commission.<br />
Before joining the <strong>Maryland</strong><br />
law faculty, Mr. Steinberg was visiting<br />
associate pr<strong>of</strong>essor at the National<br />
<strong>Law</strong> Center, George Washington<br />
<strong>University</strong>, and was an<br />
adjunct pr<strong>of</strong>essor at the<br />
Georgetown <strong>University</strong> <strong>Law</strong> Center.<br />
