Howard Aaron Scholarship Fund—<br />
Established in memory <strong>of</strong> Baltimore<br />
City Judge Howard Aaron,<br />
by his brother Samuel J. Aaron,<br />
wife Rebecca and son Albert<br />
Aaron.<br />
Louis S. Ashman Scholarship Fund—<br />
Established in 1955 through a bequest<br />
by Louis S. Ashman, an<br />
alumnus and prominent member <strong>of</strong><br />
the Baltimore bar.<br />
Associated Italian American Charities<br />
Memorial Scholarship No. 13—Established<br />
in 1986, to provide a<br />
scholarship for a third- year law<br />
student <strong>of</strong> Italian heritage. The<br />
award is based on need and merit.<br />
The recipient is selected during<br />
the second term <strong>of</strong> the second<br />
year.<br />
The Dorothy Anne Beatty, Memorial<br />
Scholarship Fund—Established in<br />
memory <strong>of</strong> Dorothy Anne Beatty,<br />
class <strong>of</strong> 1976, by her family, friends<br />
and colleagues.<br />
Walter L. Clark Scholarships—Established<br />
in 1957 under the will <strong>of</strong><br />
the late Walter L. Clark, an alumnus<br />
and former member <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Law</strong> faculty.<br />
The Ellis O. Cohen Memorial Scholarship—Established<br />
by Mrs. Rose<br />
Cohen in memory <strong>of</strong> her husband,<br />
a graduate <strong>of</strong> the Class <strong>of</strong> 1925.<br />
Income from this fund will provide<br />
scholarship support for <strong>Maryland</strong><br />
law school students in need <strong>of</strong> financial<br />
assistance.<br />

Thomas B. Finan Memorial Schol'<br />
arship Fund—Established by the<br />
Allegany County Bar Association<br />
to provide scholarship assistance to<br />
law students as a memorial to<br />
Judge Finan's outstanding career at<br />
the bar and in public service.<br />
Robert M. Goldman Scholarship<br />
Fund—Established in 1982 as a<br />
tribute to Robert M. Goldman,<br />
class <strong>of</strong> 1941, by his partners and<br />
friends.<br />
Isaac and Catharine S. Hecht Scholarship<br />
Fund—Established by the<br />
family and friends <strong>of</strong> Isaac Hecht,<br />
class <strong>of</strong> 1938.<br />
Roger Howell Scholarships—Established<br />
in 1962 by the alumni <strong>of</strong><br />
the school through their Alumni<br />
Association on the occasion <strong>of</strong> the<br />
retirement <strong>of</strong> Roger Howell as dean<br />
<strong>of</strong> the law school after 31 years <strong>of</strong><br />
service.<br />
William Preston and Dorothy Byron<br />
Lane Scholarship in <strong>Law</strong>—Established<br />
in 1975 by Mrs. William<br />
Preston Lane, Jr., longtime friend<br />
and supporter <strong>of</strong> the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Maryland</strong>, and widow <strong>of</strong> the late<br />
distinguished governor <strong>of</strong> the state<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Maryland</strong>.<br />
Andrew D. Lev} Scholarship Fund—<br />
Established in 1979 by Judge and<br />
Mrs. Stanley M. Levy in honor <strong>of</strong><br />
their son Andrew D. Levy, class <strong>of</strong><br />
1981.<br />
Joseph Meyerh<strong>of</strong>f Scholarship Fund—<br />
Established in 1986 in memory <strong>of</strong><br />
Joseph Meyerh<strong>of</strong>f, class <strong>of</strong> 1920, by<br />
the director <strong>of</strong> the Joseph<br />
Meyerh<strong>of</strong>f Fund.<br />
The John Henry Murdoch Scholarship<br />
Fund—Established through a bequest<br />
by John Henry Murdock,<br />
class <strong>of</strong> 1953.<br />
New Student Aid Fund—Established<br />
in 1964 under the will <strong>of</strong><br />
Jacob S. New, his bequest, known<br />
as "The Jacob S. New and Kathryn<br />
M. New Student Aid Fund," provides<br />
scholarships for students at<br />
the university studying law or taking<br />
a prelaw program.<br />
Alan Lee Rothenberg Fund—Established<br />
in 1983 in memory <strong>of</strong> Allan<br />
Lee Rothenberg, the fund is to be<br />
used for scholarships for law students<br />
who are members <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Law</strong><br />
Review board.<br />
The George L. Russell, Jr. Schol'<br />
arship—Established in honor <strong>of</strong><br />
Judge Russell, class <strong>of</strong> 1954, to<br />
provide scholarships for black<br />
<strong>Maryland</strong> residents at the law<br />
school. Awards will be made on<br />
the basis <strong>of</strong> need and merit.<br />
Ronald L. Schreiber Scholarship<br />
Fund—Established in memory <strong>of</strong><br />
Ronald L. Schreiber, class <strong>of</strong> 1958,<br />
by his family and friends. The fund<br />
provides assistance to a law student<br />
<strong>of</strong> outstanding merit who is recognized<br />
as the Ronald Schreiber<br />
Scholar.
