<strong>University</strong>. Ms. Rosenthal joined<br />
the administrative staff <strong>of</strong> the law<br />
school in 1978 after serving as director<br />
<strong>of</strong> development for the<br />
Hearing and Speech Agency and<br />
the Gateway <strong>School</strong>. She is responsible<br />
for development, planning,<br />
alumni programs, special<br />
events and projects and the management<br />
<strong>of</strong> Westminster Hall.<br />

Program<br />

Princeton <strong>University</strong>; J.D., 1979,<br />
<strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Virginia. Ms. Rothenberg<br />
came to the faculty in<br />
1983 from the Washington, D.C.,<br />
law firm <strong>of</strong> Covington and Burling.<br />
She has worked with a variety <strong>of</strong><br />
health and medical organizations<br />
and her practice has included consultation<br />
to and litigation for state<br />
health and social welfare agencies<br />
and issues arising out <strong>of</strong> regulation<br />
<strong>of</strong> the health pr<strong>of</strong>essions. Prior to<br />
her law career Ms. Rothenberg received<br />
an advanced degree in public<br />
affairs from the Woodrow<br />
Wilson <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> Public and International<br />
Affairs and held positions<br />
in health care policy and administration.<br />
Ms. Rothenberg served as<br />
editor for the Bioethics Reporter,<br />
and recently completed an article<br />
on medical decision-making for<br />
children, surrogacy and the duty to<br />
provide emergency care. She also<br />
lectures extensively to medical<br />
groups on legal issues in health<br />
care and served on the NIH Expert<br />
Panel on the Content <strong>of</strong> Prenatal<br />
Care and on the NIH Task Force<br />
on the Use <strong>of</strong> Diagnostic Ultrasound<br />
Imaging in Pregnancy. She<br />
also serves as legal counsel to the<br />
American College <strong>of</strong> Nurse-Midwives.<br />
