Mr. Tomlinson joined the<br />

faculty in 1965. His primary research<br />

comparative law, criminal procedure<br />

and administrative law. He<br />

has served as a consultant to the<br />

Administrative Conference <strong>of</strong> the<br />

United States and to the <strong>Maryland</strong><br />

Judicial Conference on the sim-<br />

plification <strong>of</strong> state post conviction<br />

procedures. He is also a member <strong>of</strong><br />

the board <strong>of</strong> the Patuxent Institution<br />

and reporter for the Bench<br />

During the fall semester 1980, he<br />

was on leave at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

Strasbourg (France) to study comparative<br />
