Description<br />

The explosion-protected pendant light<br />

fitting of the series EV... for Incandescent,<br />

High Pressure Discharge and Induction<br />

lamps are in accordance with the ATEX-<br />

Directive 94/9/EG as well as the European<br />

Norms EN 50014, EN 50018, EN 50019<br />

and EN 60598.<br />

The housing is made of a copper-free<br />

aluminium. The ballast for the high pressure<br />

discharge lamps (EVM/EVS/EVH) and for<br />

the induction lamps (EVQ 165) is thermically<br />

separated in its own compartment in the<br />

top part of the housing.<br />

The dome-shaped glass enclosure is made<br />

of borosilicate glass which has a high<br />

mechanical and thermic stability.<br />

All external screws and the reflector are<br />

made of stainless steel.<br />

The lamp replacement is done by opening<br />

the PTFE coated connection ring. Both the<br />

glass enclosure and the connection ring are<br />

hinged for easy access.<br />

Due to their robust architecture, these light<br />

fittings are suitable for use in the chemical<br />

industry and have been certified for usage<br />

in environments with a temperature of up<br />

to +55° C (EVQ excluded).<br />

The new light fitting EVQ, designed for lamp<br />

replacement in > 60000 hour intervals are<br />

fitted with induction lamps and a high-frequency<br />

generator.<br />
