SEB 8 L ⎮ SEB 8 ADR<br />

The powerfull explosion-protected portable<br />

searchlights SEB 8 and SEB 8 L are in<br />

accordance to the ATEX-Directive 94/9/EG<br />

and have therefore been certified for usage<br />

in the Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 in the T4 temperature<br />

class.<br />

Their use is permitted in nearly any area<br />

where the hazard of an explosive atmosphere<br />

exists. They have been developed for<br />

inspection, maintenance and repair operations<br />

in hazardous explosive atmospheres.<br />

Due to their robust construction and the<br />

high IP 65 safety standard they can be<br />

used in nearly any work area subject to high<br />

mechanical stress and high humidity.<br />

The searchlights have a light intense Halogen<br />

double bulb, a gas-tight NiCd battery<br />

4,8 V/7 Ah and a 5 LED Display.<br />

Five light emitting diodes provide continuous<br />

information on the current operating<br />

and charging state, plus it will also “warn”<br />

you in due time when the battery capacity<br />

is low or it needs to be replaced.<br />

The electronics additionally protect against<br />

excessive discharging as well as overcharging<br />

– only the amount of energy that has<br />

been used will be replaced. This increases<br />

the service life of the battery.<br />

In the event of a broken filament, the lamp<br />

will automatically switch over from the main<br />

beam to the standby light, in order to prevent<br />

the user from being left suddenly in the<br />

dark.<br />
