doctr<strong>in</strong>e of avatar, and the doctr<strong>in</strong>e of fulfillment of sacrifice have to be<br />

expla<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> the mythical aspect at the grass root level. Christ as<br />

represented <strong>in</strong> these myths is seen <strong>in</strong> the <strong>India</strong>n religions <strong>in</strong> different<br />

languages <strong>in</strong> different terms. Though the terms are different and though<br />

what they denote may seem to be different they refer to the same God.<br />

All the Gods and Goddesses, are supposed to refer to one God as every<br />

H<strong>in</strong>du will tell you. An unbiased exam<strong>in</strong>ation of myths would unveil the<br />

hidden Christ”<br />

Saiva Sidhanta<br />

The basic creed of the Saiva Sidhantha is given by the Saiva Sidhantha<br />

Church as follows:<br />

“A Creed of Saivite H<strong>in</strong>dus<br />

1. We BELIEVE Lord Siva is God, whose Absolute Be<strong>in</strong>g,<br />

Parasiva, transcends time, form and space.<br />

2. We BELIEVE Lord Siva is God, whose immanent nature of<br />

love, Parasakti, is the substratum, primal substance or pure<br />

consciousness flow<strong>in</strong>g through all form as energy, existence,<br />

knowledge and bliss.<br />

3. We BELIEVE Lord Siva is God, whose immanent nature is the<br />

Primal Soul, Supreme Mahadeva, Paramesvara, author of Vedas<br />

and Agamas, the creator, preserver and destroyer of all that<br />

exists.<br />

4. We BELIEVE <strong>in</strong> the Mahadeva Lord Ganesa, son of Siva-Sakti,<br />

to whom we must first supplicate before beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g any worship<br />

or task
