Description: A twinning herb that grows along the ground.<br />
flowers: White to dark pink, funnel shaped and up to<br />
3 cm in diameter. Occurring on stems shooting from leaf axils<br />
up to four at a time. Each flower only lasts one day and they<br />
appear between Spring to early Autumn.<br />
leaves: Alternate and arrow shaped on short stalks, dark<br />
green and generally between 2-5 cm long.<br />
stems: Prostrate or climbing and growing up to 2 m long.<br />
Sometimes has short hairs and tends to spiral towards the tips.<br />
Note: Strong competitor in cropping situations where its<br />
extensive root system robs desirable plants of moisture.<br />
Spreads from seed and root pieces. Similar in appearance to<br />
native Bindweed’s, although generally much larger.<br />
similar Native species: Could be confused with native<br />
Bindweed Convolvulus erubescens.<br />
