flowers: Green knob like spikes 3-5 mm with up to 100 tiny<br />
flowers.<br />
leaves: Stiff and lanceolate, branching in threes from stem<br />
nodes.<br />
stems: Short and stiff ending in knob like florets.<br />
Note: Emerging weed of irrigated pastures. Stock will not<br />
readily graze. Smells sweet when crushed.<br />
