Horehound<br />

Description: An erect bushy herb to 75 cm tall.<br />

flowers: White, 6-10 mm long, formed in dense rounded<br />

clusters surrounding the stem at the nodes. Flowers from<br />

Summer through to Autumn.<br />

leaves: Blue/green with a silvery appearance due to fine<br />

hairs on top. Woolly underneath. Crinkled, leathery, and<br />

rounded, up to 7 cm in diameter. Edge slightly serrated and<br />

veins sunken on the upper surface.<br />

stems: Woody at the base, covered with dense hairs and<br />

branched at the top.<br />

Note: Widespread weed of bushland, roadsides and<br />

cropping fringes.<br />

similar Native species: Unlikely to be confused with native<br />

species.<br />
