Willow - Weeping<br />

Description: Deciduous, single trunked tree with weeping<br />

form and 10-15 m tall.<br />

flowers: Drooping catkins (clusters of small flowers) 3-4 cm<br />

long appearing in early Spring.<br />

leaves: Yellowish green, alternate, long and narrow with a<br />

toothed edge, 8-15 cm long and 1-2.5 cm wide.<br />

stems: Drooping, slender, smooth, light green to pale<br />

yellowish-brown with greyish brown bark.<br />

Note: Spreads easily from stem fragments and can restrict<br />

water flows. Only female trees found in Australia.<br />

similar Native species: Unlikely to be confused with native<br />

species.<br />
