ESCAPE On Christmas Day 1887, the fi rst whisky ran from the stills at the Glenfi ddich Distillery. It’s now known as the producer of one of the fi nest single malts around and well worth the hour’s trip to sample “the best dram in the valley” (Dufftown, Banffshire, glenfi ddich.com). NO WAY! The granite that was used to build Waterloo Bridge and the terraces of the Houses of Parliament in London was sourced in Aberdeen. GO Climb aboard Agadir’s little train for an open-air tour of the city. The trains leave every 40 minutes between 9am–6pm. It starts at Boulevard 20 Août. ESCAPE Enjoy a minisafari over the Souss- Massa National Park sand dunes in a 4x4 jeep. Dine in a real Berber village, go crosscountry through a banana plantation and complete the tour on a remote beach. NO WAY! Morocco produces the world’s most expensive spice – saffron.
