(http://www.oecd.org/eco/sources-and-methods/index.htm). Countries differ in the way household disposable income is reported (in particular whether private pension benefits less pension contributions are included in
disposable income or not), but the calculation of household saving is adjusted for this difference. Most countries are reporting household saving on a net basis (i.e. excluding consumption of fixed capital by households
and unincorporated businesses). Six countries, Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom are reporting gross household saving. In most countries the households saving include saving by non-profit
institutions (in some cases referred to as personal saving). Other countries (Czech Republic, Finland, France, Japan and New Zealand) report saving of households only.
