ANATOMY
To continue the integration of the subject of systematic and topographic anatomy
with histology, anthropology and clinical anatomy in our department in
time and content and between the other departments which are the closest
subjects to morphology - physiology, pathological anatomy, phatological
physiology, general and molecular biology and biochemistry.
To develop co-operation with the University Clinics and foreign partners. This
process has already begun in the field of traumatology and ortopaedics (Tartu
University Clinic, Medical University Lübeck) and reproductive system (Turku
University).
VI. FUTURE PLANS
11. Future plans to improve the teaching given by the department.
• To renew and digitalise all the illustration materials for lectures and practical
works, complement and improve slide collections.
• Continuously adapt the teaching process to be in accordance with progress
of sciences.
• To enlarge the international medical students admittance to the Department
of Anatomy.
• To continue and enlarge the amount of hours of dissection course and region
of cadaver per student - as the basic study of anatomy.
• To plan compose a new systematic anatomy book in the Estonian language
according to the international standards.
• To continue to publish brief concepts at the end of lectures on the problem.
• To supplement the collection of the Rauber museum of anatomy.
• To continue the retraining of laboratory staff as the main priority in research
work.
