<strong>ANATOMY</strong><br />
To continue <strong>the</strong> integration <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> subject <strong>of</strong> systematic and topographic anatomy<br />
with histology, anthropology and clinical anatomy in our department in<br />
time and content and between <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r departments which are <strong>the</strong> closest<br />
subjects to morphology - physiology, pathological anatomy, phatological<br />
physiology, general and molecular biology and biochemistry.<br />
To develop co-operation with <strong>the</strong> University Clinics and foreign partners. This<br />
process has already begun in <strong>the</strong> field <strong>of</strong> traumatology and ortopaedics (Tartu<br />
University Clinic, Medical University Lübeck) and reproductive system (Turku<br />
University).<br />
VI. FUTURE PLANS<br />
11. Future plans to improve <strong>the</strong> teaching given by <strong>the</strong> department.<br />
• To renew and digitalise all <strong>the</strong> illustration materials for lectures and practical<br />
works, complement and improve slide collections.<br />
• Continuously adapt <strong>the</strong> teaching process to be in accordance with progress<br />
<strong>of</strong> sciences.<br />
• To enlarge <strong>the</strong> international medical students admittance to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Department</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> Anatomy.<br />
• To continue and enlarge <strong>the</strong> amount <strong>of</strong> hours <strong>of</strong> dissection course and region<br />
<strong>of</strong> cadaver per student - as <strong>the</strong> basic study <strong>of</strong> anatomy.<br />
• To plan compose a new systematic anatomy book in <strong>the</strong> Estonian language<br />
according to <strong>the</strong> international standards.<br />
• To continue to publish brief concepts at <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> lectures on <strong>the</strong> problem.<br />
• To supplement <strong>the</strong> collection <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Rauber museum <strong>of</strong> anatomy.<br />
• To continue <strong>the</strong> retraining <strong>of</strong> laboratory staff as <strong>the</strong> main priority in research<br />
work.<br />
