1998 ATdS Results & Data<br />

Discharge cycle #18 is a record <strong>of</strong> the final Leg <strong>of</strong> ATdS on Thursday, 5-14-98, recorded following a drive to the<br />

Arlington, Virginia staging area. This final Leg w<strong>as</strong> 44.9 miles in length <strong>an</strong>d driven in 1 hour <strong>an</strong>d 46 minutes, <strong>for</strong><br />

<strong>an</strong> average speed <strong>of</strong> 25.4 mph. Elevations beg<strong>an</strong> in S<strong>an</strong>dy Point, Maryl<strong>an</strong>d at 10 ft above sea level, rose to about<br />

100 ft along the route, <strong>an</strong>d ended in Arlington, Virginia at 20 ft above sea level. Badicheq beg<strong>an</strong> the day at 80 <strong>an</strong>d<br />

ended in Virginia with 21; 6.01 DC kilowatt-hours were consumed (40.1 Amp-hours).<br />

Shortly after completion <strong>of</strong> the Leg, all cars were driven about 5 miles in parade f<strong>as</strong>hion with police motorcycle<br />

escort into downtown W<strong>as</strong>hington, D.C. <strong>for</strong> a public display <strong>of</strong> the cars in <strong>an</strong> area adjacent to the Capital building.<br />
