3.2 Understanding the controller display<br />

This section describes the function in general for the <strong>ECL</strong> <strong>Comfort</strong><br />

<strong>210</strong> / <strong>310</strong> series. The shown displays are typical and not application<br />

related. They might differ from the displays in your application.<br />

Choosing a favorite display<br />

Your favorite display is the display you have chosen as the default<br />

display. The favorite display will give you a quick overview of the<br />

temperatures or units that you want to monitor in general.<br />

If the dial has not been activated for 20 min., the controller will<br />

revert to the overview display you have chosen as favorite.<br />

Heating circuit<br />

Overview display 1 informs about:<br />

actual outdoor temperature, controller mode,<br />

actual room temperature, desired room temperature.<br />

Overview display 2 informs about:<br />

actual outdoor temperature, trend in outdoor temperature,<br />

controller mode, max. and min. outdoor temperatures since<br />

midnight as well as desired room temperature.<br />

Overview display 3 informs about:<br />

date, actual outdoor temperature, controller mode, time, desired<br />

room temperature as well as shows the comfort schedule of the<br />

current day.<br />

Overview display 4 informs about:<br />

state of the controlled components, actual flow temperature,<br />

(desired flow temperature), controller mode, return temperature<br />

(limitation value).<br />

Dependent on the chosen display, the overview displays for the<br />

heating circuit inform you about:<br />

• actual outdoor temperature (-0.5)<br />

• controller mode ( )<br />

• actual room temperature (24.5)<br />

• desired room temperature (20.7 °C)<br />

• trend in outdoor temperature ( )<br />

• min. and max. outdoor temperatures since midnight ( )<br />

• date (23.02.2010)<br />

• time (7:43)<br />

• comfort schedule of the current day (0 - 12 - 24)<br />

• state of the controlled components (M2, P2)<br />

• actual flow temperature (49 °C), (desired flow temperature (31))<br />

• return temperature (24 °C) (limitation temperature (50))<br />

To shift between displays: Turn the dial until you reach the display<br />

selector ( ) at the bottom right side of the display. Push the dial and<br />

turn to choose your favorite overview display. Push the dial again.<br />

The setting of the desired room temperature is important even if a<br />

room temperature sensor / Remote Control Unit is not connected.<br />
