<strong>The</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r accounts <strong>of</strong> events presented in This <strong>Book</strong>, and in <strong>the</strong> sources <strong>The</strong> Compiler<br />
and Editor <strong>of</strong> This <strong>Book</strong> has relied upon — books, pamphlets, papers, etc., <strong>of</strong> mostly Jewish<br />
origins — <strong>of</strong> Herzl and <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> acquisition <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> documents known from <strong>the</strong> beginning as <strong>The</strong><br />
<strong>Protocols</strong> <strong>Zion</strong>, <strong>The</strong> <strong>Protocols</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>The</strong> <strong>Learned</strong> <strong>Elders</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Zion</strong>, or <strong>the</strong> Wise Men <strong>of</strong> <strong>Zion</strong>, will<br />
provide sources and facts which, by <strong>the</strong> coincidence <strong>of</strong> those details, will direct <strong>The</strong> Reader to<br />
determine if <strong>The</strong> <strong>Protocols</strong> are true, and who authored <strong>the</strong>m. This is <strong>The</strong> reader’s right; and<br />
anyone who would speak out against that right, or obstruct that right, is not a friend <strong>of</strong> “freedom”<br />
as <strong>the</strong>y might purport to be.<br />

ENCYCLOPEDIA JUDAICA’s<br />
HISTORY OF THE PROTOCOLS<br />
<strong>The</strong> first edition <strong>of</strong> <strong>The</strong> <strong>Protocols</strong> available to <strong>the</strong> Russian public appeared in about 1905.<br />
It is suggested by <strong>the</strong> opponents <strong>of</strong> it that <strong>the</strong> ideas <strong>the</strong>rein were not taken seriously by anyone,<br />
except those <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> “few mystic and sectarian circles only.” (Encycl. Jud.). <strong>The</strong> worldwide<br />
success <strong>of</strong> <strong>The</strong> <strong>Protocols</strong> began in 1919. It grew in acceptance especially after <strong>the</strong> Russian<br />
Bolshevik Revolution and <strong>the</strong> uprisings in Germany in <strong>the</strong> early 1920’s. Many people in those<br />
countries arrived at <strong>the</strong> conclusion that <strong>the</strong>re was a “hidden hand” or unseen cause for those<br />
tragic and violent events. <strong>The</strong> publication <strong>of</strong> <strong>The</strong> <strong>Protocols</strong> was widely circulated to expose <strong>the</strong><br />
“Jewish Revolution” inciting <strong>the</strong> Russian civil war. <strong>The</strong>re was said to be a great coincidence<br />
between <strong>the</strong> <strong>the</strong>ories disclosed in <strong>The</strong> <strong>Protocols</strong> and <strong>the</strong> realities <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> violence and excessive<br />
killings perpetrated in sou<strong>the</strong>rn Russia between 1918 and 1920. (Encycl. Jud). After <strong>the</strong> Red<br />
(Bolshevik/Jewish) armies defeated <strong>the</strong> White (Christian) armies, Russian emigres escaping to<br />
<strong>The</strong> West began publishing <strong>The</strong> <strong>Protocols</strong>, and many translations <strong>of</strong> it followed. <strong>The</strong> most<br />
reputable newspapers in Europe, already under <strong>the</strong> Jewish control described in Protocol No. ??,<br />
merely questioned <strong>the</strong> “authority” <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> document, yet apparently did not say anything more<br />
than that.<br />
In 1921, it is alleged that an English Journalist, Philip Graves, “pointed out <strong>the</strong> close<br />
similarity between <strong>the</strong> text <strong>of</strong> <strong>The</strong> <strong>Protocols</strong> and Joly’s pamphlet. 149/ This it is alleged, caused<br />
“balanced and responsible circles” to refuse to accept <strong>The</strong> <strong>Protocols</strong> as a serious document.<br />
(Encycl. Jud.). However, a “balanced” and responsible” could easily be defined to mean: under<br />
<strong>the</strong> influence <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> aggressive suggestions <strong>of</strong> Jewish thought placed in <strong>the</strong>ir midst; and,<br />
responding favorably to <strong>the</strong> abilities <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Jews to bring such thought to bear upon <strong>the</strong>m).<br />
<strong>The</strong>re was an enormous circulation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Protocols</strong> text, which was translated in to all <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> main languages <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> world. In <strong>the</strong> United States, <strong>The</strong> <strong>Protocols</strong> received its greatest<br />
support from Henry Ford, Sr., <strong>the</strong> famous and very wealthy automobile manufacturer.<br />
149 JOLY. This editor has reviewed over a dozen books on <strong>the</strong> French national history, and none<br />
<strong>of</strong> those works mention a “Maurice Joly,” nor any reasonable spelling <strong>of</strong> that name; nor is <strong>the</strong>re<br />
reference to any such pamphlet against Napoleon III. It may be a pseudonym. See also, n.M.<br />
