The following text is from notes from August 1998 conversation with confidential source:<br />
<strong>In</strong> situ flushing was implemented in August 1998 to enhance pump and treat remediation of a<br />
dissolved arsenic contaminant plume. A horizontal well will be used for groundwater extraction and<br />
injection. Approximately 100 gpm of contaminated groundwater is to be extracted, treated above<br />
ground, supplemented with additives, and re-injected. A proprietary compound is added as the<br />
flushing reagent.<br />
