ARTICLE 37<br />

To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> will vote to add <strong>the</strong> following<br />

to Chapter 1, Domestic Animals to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> Code <strong>of</strong> Ordinances:<br />

Section 1:206 Removal <strong>of</strong> Dog Defecation from Public Property<br />

An owner or person having having custody <strong>of</strong> any dog shall not permit<br />

said dog to defecate on any public property including public streets,<br />

beaches, alleys, sidewalks, parks, or any o<strong>the</strong>r public grounds within<br />

<strong>the</strong> town unless said defecation is removed immediately.<br />

Section 1:207 Removal <strong>of</strong> Dog Defecation from Private Property<br />

An owner or person having custody shall not permit said dog to defecate<br />

on any private property o<strong>the</strong>r than <strong>the</strong> premises <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> owner or person<br />

having custody <strong>of</strong> said dog.<br />

Section 1:208 Public Beaches<br />

Dogs will be permitted on <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> beaches from October 1<br />

to <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> March. HOWEVER, Sec. 1:206 will apply and will be enforced<br />

throughout <strong>the</strong> year. Dogs are not allowed on <strong>the</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> Beaches from<br />

April 1st until <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> September.<br />

Section 1:209 Penalty<br />

Any person who violates <strong>the</strong> provisions <strong>of</strong> Sec. 1:206, Sec. 1:207 or<br />

Sec. 1:208 shall be fined not more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for <strong>the</strong><br />

first violation and not more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for<br />

subsequent violations in a given year.<br />

Section 1:210 Date <strong>of</strong> Effect<br />

This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage.<br />

ARTICLE 38<br />

To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote to discontinue Jonty's Lane, so<br />

called, as an open highway and make it subject to Gates & Bars,<br />

pursuant to RSA 231:45. (Jonty's Lane runs Nor<strong>the</strong>rly from Barbour Road<br />

to White's Lane, which was made subject to Gates & Bars by <strong>the</strong> adoption<br />

<strong>of</strong> Article 36 at <strong>the</strong> 1990 <strong>Annual</strong> <strong>Town</strong> Meeting.)<br />

ARTICLE 39<br />

James L. Dorin and JoAnn M. Dorin, 87 Leavitt Road and Joseph W.<br />

Fili and Barbara M. Fili, 83 Leavitt Road, <strong>Hampton</strong> and <strong>the</strong> undersigned<br />

registered voters <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> petition <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> Meeting as<br />

follows: To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote to abandon that approximately 2<br />

foot wide and 103 foot long roadway shown as "undeveloped" between Lot<br />

76 on Tax map 192 and Lot 1 on tax Map 2 06, as long as <strong>the</strong>re is no<br />

expense to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong>.<br />

ARTICLE 40<br />

On petition <strong>of</strong> Fred J. Schaake, and twenty-five (25) or more<br />

registered voters <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong>, to see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote<br />

to authorize <strong>the</strong> Selectmen to convey to Glen-Hill Inc. whatever right,<br />

title and interest, <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> might have in a parcel <strong>of</strong> land<br />

(Approximately 1,500 square feet) identified on <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> Assessor's<br />

Maps as Map 70, Lot 1. Said parcel <strong>of</strong> land has been abandoned as a<br />

sanitary lift station site.<br />
