ARTICLE 55:<br />

On petition <strong>of</strong> Ashton J. Norton and 25 or more legal voters to see if <strong>the</strong><br />

town <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> will vote to change <strong>the</strong> name <strong>of</strong> Osgood Road to Great<br />

Gate Drive to preserve <strong>the</strong> town's history.<br />

ARTICLE 56:<br />

On Petition <strong>of</strong> Albert and Vivianne Marcotte and twenty-five or more<br />

registered voters <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong>: to see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will remove<br />

<strong>the</strong> following deed restriction on parcel located at 1016 Ocean Blvd. -<br />

registered in Bk 2509, pg 1935 - "No fences may be erected upon said<br />

premises o<strong>the</strong>r than ornamental fences <strong>of</strong> no more than a three foot height."<br />

ARTICLE 57:<br />

On petition <strong>of</strong> Neil G. & Lorice Moore <strong>of</strong> 237 Landing Road, <strong>Hampton</strong>,<br />

<strong>New</strong> <strong>Hampshire</strong>, and 48 or more o<strong>the</strong>r legal voters <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong>, to see if<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote to sell at fair market value (to be determined by <strong>the</strong><br />

Assessing Officer) a portion <strong>of</strong> present landfill property known as Lot 9, Map<br />

2 1 3, presently owned by <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong>. The parcel <strong>of</strong> land being situated on <strong>the</strong><br />

easterly side <strong>of</strong> Landing Road containing 2,237 square feet. It is hereby<br />

understood that all costs involved - i.e., plans, recordings, legal fees, and any<br />

o<strong>the</strong>r costs will be borne by <strong>the</strong> petitioners.<br />

MOVED: George Hardardt moved to indefinitely postpone.<br />

Article 57 was indefinitely postponed.<br />

ARTICLE 58:<br />

To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote to cut <strong>the</strong> 1 980 tax rate by ten percent, thus<br />

establishing a tax cap for 1 991 and to cap each successive tax rate including<br />

school budgets, bonds, warrant articles, etc. to a three percent increase.<br />

MOVED: Stephen C<strong>of</strong>fey to indefinitely postpone <strong>the</strong> article.<br />

SECOND: Daniel Coughlin<br />

Article 58 was indefinitely postponed.<br />

ARTICLE 59:<br />

Petition Selectmen to include article Jack's P.O. Box Restaurant: Article<br />

is in regards to <strong>the</strong> placement <strong>of</strong> a sign on Route 1 at Stickney Terrace and<br />

requires signatures <strong>of</strong> registered voters so that it may be placed on <strong>the</strong> town<br />

warrant and be voted on at <strong>Town</strong> Meeting.<br />
