1992 TOWN WARRANT<br />

To <strong>the</strong> inhabitants <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> in <strong>the</strong> County <strong>of</strong><br />

Rockingham, said State, qualified to vote in <strong>Town</strong> affairs:<br />

You are hereby notified to meet at <strong>the</strong> Uptown Fire Station on<br />

Winnacunnet Road on Tuesday, <strong>the</strong> tenth <strong>of</strong> March 1992, at eight o'clock<br />

in <strong>the</strong> forenoon to act upon <strong>the</strong> following subjects: Article 1 through<br />

Article 6. Polls not to close before eight o'clock in <strong>the</strong> evening.<br />

Pursuant to <strong>the</strong> action in Article 16 in <strong>the</strong> 197 3 <strong>Town</strong> Warrant,<br />

<strong>the</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Selectmen has set Saturday, March 14, 1992, at ten o'clock<br />

in <strong>the</strong> forenoon at <strong>the</strong> Winnacunnet High School Auditorium for <strong>the</strong><br />

second session <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Annual</strong> <strong>Town</strong> Meeting to act upon <strong>the</strong> following<br />

subjects: Article 7 through Article 47.<br />

ARTICLE 1<br />

To choose by non-partisan ballot: One (1) Selectman for Three (3)<br />

Years; One (1) Moderator for Two (2) Years; One (1) <strong>Town</strong> Clerk for<br />

Three (3) Years; One (1) Treasurer for One (1) Year; Two (2) Planning<br />

Board for Three (3) Years; One (1) Planning Board for One (1) Year;<br />

Four (4) Municipal Budget Committee for Three (3) Years; One (1)<br />

Trustee <strong>of</strong> Trust Funds for Three (3) Years; One (1) Library Trustee<br />

for Three (3) Years; One (1) Cemetery Trustee for Three (3) Years;<br />

One (1) Supervisor <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Checklist for Six (6) Years; Two (2) <strong>Hampton</strong><br />

School Board for Three (3) Years; One (1) School Board Treasurer for<br />

Three (3) Years.<br />

ARTICLE 2<br />

Are you in favor <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> adoption <strong>of</strong> Amendment No. 1 as proposed<br />

by <strong>the</strong> Planning Board for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> Zoning Ordinance as<br />

follows:<br />

To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote to amend Article I, 1.6, Definitions<br />

by amending <strong>the</strong> definition <strong>of</strong> "Lot Width" by adding <strong>the</strong> words "Up to a<br />

maximum <strong>of</strong> 100 feet" so that it reads as follow: "The shortest<br />

distance between <strong>the</strong> side lot lines, measured from <strong>the</strong> front lot line<br />

to a depth equal to <strong>the</strong> required frontage width in that zoning<br />

district, up to a maximum <strong>of</strong> 100 feet."<br />

ARTICLE 3<br />

Are you in favor <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> adoption <strong>of</strong> amendment No. 2 as proposed<br />

by <strong>the</strong> Planning Board for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> Zoning Ordinance as<br />

follows:<br />

To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote to amend Article I, 1.6, Definitions<br />

by amending <strong>the</strong> definition <strong>of</strong> "Temporary Advertising Signs" by deleting<br />

<strong>the</strong> last four words, "or any o<strong>the</strong>r premises" so that it reads as<br />

follows: "Any sign which is portable or o<strong>the</strong>rwise not permanently<br />

affixed to any building, structure or surface, which directs attention<br />

to a business, pr<strong>of</strong>ession, commodity, service, or entertainment<br />

conducted, sold or <strong>of</strong>fered upon <strong>the</strong> premises where <strong>the</strong> sign is<br />

located.<br />
