ARTICLE 60:<br />

To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote to require that any article to come before<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> Meeting regarding <strong>the</strong> sale or lease <strong>of</strong> any <strong>Town</strong> owned land be<br />

accompanied by a map or plan to be displayed at said <strong>Town</strong> Meeting <strong>of</strong><br />

sufficient quality to provide ready identification <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> parcel to be sold or<br />

leased and that <strong>the</strong> names and addresses <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> abutters be listed on said<br />

plan.<br />

ARTICLE 61:<br />

To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote to amend <strong>the</strong> "Sewage Use and Construction<br />

Ordinance", which was adopted and amended by <strong>Town</strong> Meeting on<br />

October 24, 1989, so that <strong>the</strong> septage ("septic tank sludge and/or waste<br />

water") disposal fees listed in Sec. 2:604(g)(7) will increase May 1, 1991, by<br />

fifty<br />

percent through 4,000 gallons dumped, with residents getting half<br />

price, and <strong>the</strong> remaining fees (over 4,000 gallons and miscellaneous sludge<br />

and wastewater) in <strong>the</strong> chart will increase by fifty percent on <strong>the</strong> same date,<br />

in order to reflect increased costs <strong>of</strong> treatment and to bring <strong>the</strong> fees more<br />

in<br />

line with o<strong>the</strong>r municipalities such as Concord, which have increased<br />

such fees since <strong>Hampton</strong> last did so over four years ago, which was before<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> spent over a quarter <strong>of</strong> a million dollars to enlarge and upgrade<br />

<strong>the</strong> septage receiving and holding facility.<br />

SECOND: Mary-Louise Woolsey<br />

Arthur Moody moved, seconded by Mary-Louise Woolsey to increase<br />

<strong>the</strong> resident amount to 60%. The motion failed.<br />

Ashton Norton moved to amend, seconded by George Hardardt, to add<br />

"with residents' getting no increase in fees".<br />

The motion passed and Article 61 was passed as amended.<br />

ARTICLE 62:<br />

To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote to accept <strong>the</strong> Irving "Soup" Campbell Sport<br />

Scholarship Trust Fund from <strong>the</strong> "Tidbits" sports program <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 1 950s and<br />

1 960s, and from <strong>the</strong> heirs <strong>of</strong> Mr. Campbell, who was an organizer <strong>of</strong> early<br />

sports programs for <strong>the</strong> children <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong>, with <strong>the</strong> following conditions:<br />

A. The principal is $ 1 ,800. with accumulated interest <strong>of</strong> about $ 1 1 5.;<br />

each year one-half <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> income earned by <strong>the</strong> fund will be placed<br />

with, and become part <strong>of</strong>, <strong>the</strong> principal, and <strong>the</strong> remainder will be<br />

used by <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong>'s Recreation and Parks Department, or its<br />

successor, as scholarships for tuition and expenses <strong>of</strong> summer sports<br />

camps or recreation programs for children as organized or sponsored<br />

by <strong>the</strong> department or associated with it via use <strong>of</strong> facilities<br />

scheduled by it, or via municipal appropriations.<br />

B. Additional private donations to <strong>the</strong> principal fund are permitted.<br />
