To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote to amend Article I, 1.6, Definitions by<br />

amending <strong>the</strong> first sentence <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> definition <strong>of</strong> "Frontage" to read as<br />

follows:<br />

"The length <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> lot bordering on and providing access to a Class V (or<br />

better) highway, or a road shown on a plat approved by <strong>the</strong> Planning<br />

Board."<br />

Are you in favor <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> adoption <strong>of</strong> Amendment No. VI as proposed by<br />

<strong>the</strong> Planning Board for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hampton</strong> Zoning Ordinance as follows:<br />

To see if <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> will vote to amend Article 1, 1 .6, Definitions by making<br />

<strong>the</strong> following changes:<br />

Amend <strong>the</strong> definition <strong>of</strong> "Building Height" to read as follows: "The<br />

vertical distance from <strong>the</strong> grade plane to <strong>the</strong> highest point <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> building,<br />

excluding only chimneys and residential antennae." and add a new definition<br />

to read as follows:<br />

"Grade plane: a reference plane representing <strong>the</strong> average <strong>of</strong> finished<br />

ground level adjoining <strong>the</strong> building at all exterior walls. When <strong>the</strong> finished<br />

ground level slopes away from <strong>the</strong> exterior walls, <strong>the</strong> reference plane shall<br />

be established by <strong>the</strong> lowest points within <strong>the</strong> area between <strong>the</strong> building<br />

and <strong>the</strong> lot line or, when <strong>the</strong> lot line is more than six (6) feet from <strong>the</strong> building,<br />

between <strong>the</strong> building and a point six (6) feet from <strong>the</strong> building."<br />
