6.3 PRESIDENT-ELECT<br />

The President-Elect shall:<br />

a<br />

b<br />

c<br />

d<br />

e<br />

except for committees otherwise constituted in these Bylaws, appoint, in<br />

consultation with the President, the committee chairs and members <strong>of</strong> all<br />

committees who are to serve during the President-Elect's coming term as<br />

President;<br />

assist the President in the performance <strong>of</strong> the President's responsibilities in such<br />

manner as the President may request;<br />

perform such further duties and have such further powers as may be designated<br />

by the Board or the President;<br />

perform the duties <strong>of</strong> the President:<br />

(1) in the event <strong>of</strong> the President's death, disqualification or resignation, for<br />

the remainder <strong>of</strong> the President's term; or<br />

(2) in the event <strong>of</strong> the President's absence or disability, for the length <strong>of</strong> the<br />

absence or disability; and<br />

submit to the Board at its annual meeting a proposed <strong>Academy</strong> budget for the<br />

first year <strong>of</strong> the President-Elect’s term as President.<br />

6.4 VICE PRESIDENTS<br />

The Vice Presidents shall:<br />

6.5 SECRETARY<br />

(1) assist the President in the performance <strong>of</strong> the President's<br />

responsibilities in such manner and extent as the President may request;<br />

and<br />

(2) if any <strong>of</strong> the events specified in 6.3 d shall occur or in the event <strong>of</strong> the<br />

death, disqualification, resignation, absence or disability <strong>of</strong> the President-<br />

Elect, the Vice President who has served longest as a Vice President shall<br />

perform the duties (except duties in 6.3 a) <strong>of</strong>, but not assume the <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong>,<br />

the President-Elect until such time as there is a President-Elect able to<br />

perform those duties and not obliged to perform the duties <strong>of</strong> President.<br />

In the event that one or more Vice Presidents have served longest an equal<br />

amount <strong>of</strong> time, then the Vice President who was first admitted to the <strong>Academy</strong><br />

shall fulfill the duties in 6.4 a (2).<br />

The Secretary shall:<br />

6.6 TREASURER<br />

keep a true record <strong>of</strong> the proceedings <strong>of</strong> all meetings <strong>of</strong> the Fellows, Board and<br />

Executive Committee whenever assembled;<br />

give all notices as required by these Bylaws.<br />

The Treasurer shall, with the assistance <strong>of</strong> the Executive Director:<br />

a<br />

keep an accurate record <strong>of</strong> all money received and expended by the <strong>Academy</strong>;<br />
