Certified List 2011 - International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers

President’s Message
The IAML is pleased to present this 2011 edition of the Certified List of Fellows of the Academy.
The Academy this year celebrates its Silver Jubilee, which is an important milestone in the
Academy’s growth. Membership in all categories now stands in excess of 580 with Fellows
representing 43 jurisdictions.
The recruitment of new Fellows from unrepresented or under-represented jurisdictions remains a
challenge which is being addressed by the Academy’s Expansion Programme and that of the
European Chapter. As ever, recommendations from Fellows who have had positive experience
with practitioners in such jurisdictions who might be suitable for Fellowship are encouraged.
It is hoped that the Certified List – both in hard copy format and online version – will continue to
provide an invaluable resource to Fellows both as an avenue of access to a wide network of
expertise and as a source of referrals from other practitioners both within and without the Academy.
The value of the Certified List is heavily dependant upon the accuracy of information provided by
Fellows and I am grateful to those Fellows who have ensured that the recorded information is as
current as possible. The Executive Director, Donna Goddard (donna.goddard@iaml.org) is able to
provide any necessary assistance in updating entries.
Of particular importance is the list of specialisations recorded in the online version of the Certified
List. Fellows are invited to ensure that their specialisms are correctly recorded.
It should also be remembered that the Members Only section of the Academy website contains a
very useful referral list of family lawyers in some of those jurisdictions not currently represented by
an Academy Fellow.
I wish all Fellows of the Academy a successful year in their international practices. I hope that the
Certified List will continue to be of considerable assistance and, on behalf of the Executive
Committee, express our gratitude to Donna Goddard for her work in producing it and to Jordan
Publishing Limited who have once again generously sponsored its printing and distribution.
