Has practiced family law in Vancouver, British Columbia since 1982 and has had his own family law practice in<br />

Vancouver since 1984. Has handled all kinds <strong>of</strong> family law cases, including custody disputes and disputes concerning<br />

support and asset division, at all levels <strong>of</strong> court in British Columbia. A trained mediator, collaborative lawyer and<br />

parenting coordinator and encourages settlement <strong>of</strong> family disputes by agreement wherever possible. Has a particular<br />

interest in child custody and has successfully handled many difficult child custody cases. Has also acted as a child<br />

advocate, representing children in high conflict custody cases. Has developed an unique expertise in international child<br />

custody cases and in particular cases involving cross-border parental child abduction. Has assisted many parents<br />

whose children have been kidnapped by the other parent and taken to other counties to recover their children.<br />
