The protein average flexibility values of the three ligands were correlated with the respective<br />

salt concentrations where the fractions were collected. The error bars represent the standard<br />

deviations of the average flexibility values in each fraction. The statistical analysis revealed a<br />

significant correlation (r 2 = 0.80; p < 0.0001).<br />

The flexibility and stability of the proteins were also reported for their applications in nature,<br />

where the organisms stay alive at -50°C to over 100°C. All the organisms have the same 20<br />

amino acids; however it could be the combine contribution of the amino acid residues<br />

balancing the stability and flexibility of proteins and allowing the organism to stay on both<br />

temperature extremes (120). The average flexibility has shown no relation to the molecular<br />

weight and isoelectric point values of the proteins. In other words, the flexibility values of the<br />

tabulated proteins were independent of whether a protein is larger or smaller and acidic or<br />

basic in nature. The flexibility has revealed a direct relationship with the protein retention<br />
