The above resolution calls for the clearing of “all materials”; the current works are to remove all damaged and unusable materials but retain those aspects of the structure that can be used by the community, such as the BBQ area. If passed, this motion would require the removal of the BBQ area, remaining brick walls, seating and concrete slab. Completion of the Masterplan for Horseshoe Bay and prioritising those works has already been reported to Council in the Delivery Plan report provided with the August 2012 business paper and in the question response noted above. RECOMMENDATION IMPLICATIONS Environmental, Economic (Financial), Policy or Statutory: Nil Social: The development of an Aboriginal Community Plan in conjunction with the review of the Community Strategic Plan will serve to identify key areas of need, prioritising and identifying possible strategies, particularly those issues identified in the draft Aboriginal Affairs Policy.
