Crankshaft and crankcase<br />

Check the big end bearing.<br />

Check the big end bearing. There should<br />

be no radial play (upwards and downwards)<br />

on the connecting rod.<br />

It should, however, have an axial play to<br />

ensure good lubrication of the big end<br />

bearing.<br />

Blow clean the channel for the automatic<br />

lubrication of the clutch drum’s bearing.<br />

Mod. 650 and 700 have automatic<br />

lubrication of the clutch drum’s bearing.<br />

Check with compressed air that the<br />

lubrication channel is open.<br />

Pressure test<br />

All models<br />

Install blanking plates on the induction and exhaust sides of the cylinder.<br />

Connect the pressure gauge 502 50 38-01 to the nipple and pump up a pressure of 50<br />

kPa (0.5 kp/cm 2 ) in the crankcase.<br />

Maximum permissible leakage: 20 kPa (0.2 kp/cm 2 ) per 30 seconds.<br />

Models 650, 700 – Muffler side<br />

Remove the cutting equipment, muffler, exhaust gasket and cooling plate.<br />

Fix cover washer No. 502 54 02-01 to the cylinder with an M5x15 screw.<br />
