Problem: Existing infrastructure is deteriorating, aging, and undersized, and existing surface water<br />
treatment system does not meet current regulations.<br />
Solution: Construct new surface water treatment system which complies with current regulations, construct<br />
larger water storage tank, and replace undersized waterlines with larger diameter pipe.<br />

Original scope of project consists of planning, design and engineering for Phase I improvements to water treatment,<br />
storage and distribution system, including a membrane treatment system to remove turbidity from the surface water<br />
from Bonito Lake, a disinfection system, a booster pumping station to fill the water storage tank, and a 35,000-<br />
gallon tank. Little Bear Fire in June 2012 adversely impacted Bonito Lake. Change of scope requested and granted<br />
by WTB September 2012. Funding to be used for construction completion of pump house and installation and<br />
Phase 1 waterline. NMFA MOU expired June 30, 2012. No activity by CPB pending new MOU.<br />

The Village of Ruidoso and City of Ruidoso Downs are in the process of relocating sewer lines<br />
which were damaged in the 2008 flood due to the location in/near the Rio Ruidoso.<br />
The project will fund the first phase of engineering the sewer line relocation project.<br />
To design and construct sewer system facilities in Ruidoso in Lincoln county.<br />
Awaiting executed grant agreement. Ruidoso has procured engineer CH2M Hill. Grant Agreement Executed<br />
